Eric AdamsWayne

NE - Born Frederick Joseph Adams IV, Eric is in his third year as a theatre major at Wayne State College. There he has been in Crucible, Alice in Wonderland, Quills, Guys and Dolls, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Born in Lincoln, NE, Eric attended Burke High School in Omaha. This is Eric's first Playhouse season, and he will act in Chorus Line, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Man Who Came to Dinner.


Robert Arriaga

Los Angeles, CA - Robert is a Los Angeles native, a certified Tax Preparer, a Notary Public, and certified to perform traditional Mexican weddings. He is a student at East L. A. College, where he worked with Jan Swank in his productions of Sylvia, Battery, Story Theatre, and Proof. Mr. Arriaga has been nominated for Irene Ryan scholarships twice. In his first BHP summer, he managed the snack bar and acted in three productions. In this, his fourth season, Robert will again help open the snack bar, and he will act as Dr Bradley in The Man Who Came to Dinner and in Fiddler on the Roof.


Sarah Bauer

Rapid City, SD - Ms. Bauer is a theatre and mass communications graduate of USD. Sarah is interested in different aspects of theatre. She loves backstage work, but most of all she likes stage management. She has been involved in numerous USD productions and was Stage Manager for Broken Glass, Cripple of Inishmaan, and Little Shop of Horrors. For her third season at BHP, Sarah will be Company Stage Manager and Manager of Storybook Island Theatre, as well as supervising the production stage managers and stage managing herself. She thanks her family for their support.


Jil Jennewein Bradeen

Custer, SD - Jil is a graduate of Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD, and earned her Master of Divinity at Iliff School of Theology in Denver. She is mother of twin sons, Cody and Clint Hubbeling, stepmother of Zoey Bradeen, and wife of Ron Bradeen. She is an ex-ordained United Methodist pastor and was a soloist with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Ms. Bradeen currently works as a licensed real estate assistant with the Real Estate Center in Rapid City. In her first BHP season, Jil will portray Lorraine Sheldon in The Man Who Came to Dinner.


Serena Brook

Duluth, MN - Serena just finished her second year of college at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, where she is pursuing a BFA in theatre with an acting emphasis. While there she performed in Julius Caesar and Pulse Points. Her acting credits include work at Drake University, Stage 2 Theatre, and Eagan Theatre. In her first year at BHP, Ms. Brook will act in Chorus Line, Fiddler on the Roof, and Hay Fever. Ms. Brook thanks her parents for their constant support.


Josh Carazo

South Gate, CA - Josh is a dedicated student of the theatre. This will be his second season at the BHP. He served last year as an assistant cook and worked as a backstage technician. This season he is one of our stage managers. He calls East Los Angeles his home and is studying theatre at East LA College. He has stage-managed, prop mastered, and toured a variety of shows in the department's intensive program including Proof, which was directed by Jan Swank in his Guest Artist residency at the college. Josh hopes to direct and write for the theatre and will finish his Theatre degree at USD in two years. Mr. Carazo is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.


Chris Carnes

Fremont, NE - In her tenth year at the BHP, Chris will again manage the ticket office. She is an adjunct instructor at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, NE. Last year, she also be taught public speaking at Midland Lutheran College. Chris has been coming to the Playhouse since 1996. In 2005, she directed The Good Doctor for the Fremont Community Players. She will be at the Playhouse with her husband, Harold, and her children, Rowan and Martin.


Tim Case

Sioux City, IA - Returning for his 17th season, Tim will be designing scenery for Fiddler on the Roof and helping out with props for Play it Again, Sam. His last designs for us were King and I, and Of Mice and Men. Mr. Case is a professor of design at USD. Tim graduated from Morningside College and got his MFA from University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Tim has worked for films, television, theatres, Gateway 2000, and designed a section of an amusement park ride for Sea World Florida. He also served a full three terms on the Playhouse Board of Directors.


Werner Christensen

Vernon, CT - Werner graduated from USD with a B.S. in mass communications and theatre in 2005, where he performed in Boys Next Door, among many other plays. He also recently performed in The Crucible with Jan Swank directing. Werner is delighted to spend a fourth summer at BHP and act in Chorus Line, Fiddler on the Roof , and The Man Who Came to Dinner. Mr. Christensen is a veteran of the Iraq experience, having spent a year there in a medical unit. His plans involve moving to the East Coast and continuing his education in musical theatre. This year, his season is for Cassie Jo Walters.


John Paul Devlin

Bolton, VT - John returns to the BHP after a five-year absence for this 12th season. Previous Playhouse designs include scenery for Pump Boys and Dinettes, Cabaret, Greater Tuna, Charlie Brown, and Tintypes. He will be designing lighting for Hay Fever. Mr. Devlin is an Assistant Professor at Saint Michael's College in Colchester, VT. He is also a freelance designer with credits at the Saint Michael's Playhouse, Vermont Stage, Lost Nation Theatre, Northern Stage, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Next Act Theatre, First Stage Milwaukee, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Saint Michael's College and Marquette University. Thanks as always for support from Carol, Pit and Kit, and thanks to Jan and Jill for bringing me back.


Phyllis Dixon

Rapid City, SD - Dr. Dixon is a retired principal and school teacher. She returns for her sixth Playhouse season to act in Fiddler on the Roof and The Man Who Came to Dinner. She is a past president of the BHP board and a veteran of three full terms on the board. Phyllis has also been active onstage with the Black Hills Community Theater. She loves to be in plays for her age group. She still "enjoys goofing off with the kids."


Abigail Drabek

Rapid City, SD - Abby is a senior at Central High School in Rapid City, where she has acted in Les Miserables and Alice's Wonderland for Justin Speck. She has also appeared in Black Hills Community Theater's production of Over the Tavern. Ms. Drabek spent the last three summers working for Storybook Island Theatre. In her first season at the Playhouse, Abigail will portray Maggie in Chorus Line.


Aislinn Duffy

Rapid City, SD - Aislinn Duffy, six, will be a first grader at St. Elizabeth Seton this year. She is anxious to be on the BHP stage for the first time this season. She will be performing in Fiddler on the Roof. Ms. Duffy was in the Missoula Children's Theatre production of Robin Hood at her school this year. She enjoys reading, drawing, riding her bike, playing with her friends, and cooking with Mom.


Caitlin Duffy

Rapid City, SD - Caitlin, 12, will be a 7th-grader next year. She feels fortunate to be cast as Shprintze in Fiddler on the Roof. She has previously been in two plays, Sound of Music and Music Man at the BHP. Ms. Duffy has also been in several productions for the Missoula Children's Theatre and the Children's Theatre of South Dakota at her school. She was also in Black Hills Community Theater's production of Oliver! Caitlin loves basketball, soccer, music and reading.


Ciara Duffy

Rapid City, SD - Ciara will be in third grade at St. Elizabeth Seton this fall. She can't wait to be part of the cast of Fiddler on the Roof. She was previously in the BHP production of Music Man. She has also enjoyed various roles in the Missoula Children's Theatre productions at her school. Ciara spends her free trim drawing, writing, reading, playing the piano, and playing basketball and soccer.


Liam Duffy

Rapid City, SD - Liam Duffy will attend eighth grade at St. Elizabeth Seton in the fall. This is Liam's 4th play at the BHP. He has been in Sound of Music, Inspecting Carol and Music Man. He looks forward to being in Fiddler on the Roof. Liam has also enjoyed acting roles in several Missoula Children's Theatre productions, the Children's Theatre Company of South Dakota, and his role as "The Artful Dodger" in Black Hills Community Theater's production of Oliver! He loves basketball, reading, listening to music, and spending time with his family and friends.


Moira Duffy

Rapid City, SD - Moira Duffy, 10, is looking forward to her role as Bielke in Fiddler on the Roof. She love acting and has been in two BHP productions-Music Man and Sound of Music. She was also in Black Hills Community Theater's prudctions of Oliver! and South Pacific. Moira has also had roles in productions by Missoula Children's Theatre and Children's Theatre Company of South Dakota. She loves to read, play basketball and soccer. Moira is looking forward to reconnecting with the many great people at the Playhouse and enjoying spending time in such a beautiful place.


Tricia Dugan

Custer, SD - Tricia is a junior attending Custer High School, where she has been involved in several plays, musicals, and singing activities. The last two summers, she has worked as a waitress at Blue Bell Lodge and also helped out at Blue Bell Stables in Custer State Park. Ms. Dugan will be acting in Chorus Line in her first summer with the Playhouse. She has taken private piano, saxophone, and voice lessons and dance instruction in ballet, tap and jazz. She plans to major in music, theatre and the performing arts in college, and also get a degree in business.


Elizabeth Ellis

Brooklyn, NY - Elizabeth is thrilled to be returning to the BHP to play Kristine in Chorus Line and assistant choreographing. Currently living in New York City, she keeps busy teaching ballet, tap and jazz at The Bridge for Dance and performing as often as possible. This year she was involved in singing with an eight-person ensemble called "Dorothy Stone and Festive Voices," dancing with the Poisonous Ladies and the Amir Levi Dance Company, and performing in Brooklyn Family Theatre's productions of Wizard of Oz and Snoopy. She has been seen at the BHP performing in Pippin, Cabaret, Music Man, Pirates of Penzance, and Man of LaMancha.


Meghan Ferguson

Sioux Falls, SD - A Sioux Falls native, Meghan has worked for us two previous summers in the Snack Bar and acting in Music Man. While visiting her grandparents (Gene and Carol McCluskey) in Custer this summer, Ms. Ferguson will be acting for us in Fiddler on the Roof. Meghan is learning French and someday hopes to go to Paris.


Tammie Foley

Spearfish, SD - Ms. Foley is thrilled to be working her first summer at BHP. It is a dream she has had since she came to her first show as a child 20 years ago. This summer she will be a Costume Assistant and will act in Hay Fever. She attends Black Hills State University and plans on going on to get an MFA in Costume Design. Tammie would like to thank her parents and college directors for their love, support and advice.


Joey Ford

Custer, SD - Joey has been a Custer resident since he was four and received his Associate Degree from Casper College. While in Wyoming he played many roles including Hamlet in Hamlet, Mary Sunshine in Chicago, and the Padre in Man of LaMancha. He will be acting in Chorus Line, Fiddler on the Roof, and Man Who Came to Dinner in his second Playhouse season. Joey is currently attending Minnesota State University at Mankato, pursuing his BFA in musical theatre. He performed several roles there this year including Bobby Strong in Urinetown. Mr. Ford is dedicating his work this year to the memory of his loving father and the continual support from his family.


Harrison Fry

Olympia, WA - Harrison is very excited to be spending his second summer at BHP. He attends South Puget Sound Community College. Mr. Fry has been involved in productions at Capital Playhouse (run by Playhouse alums Jeff Kingsbury and Troy Fisher) and Kids at Play in Olympia for many years. Last seaaon he acted in both of our musicals. This summer, Harrison will act in Chorus Line, Fiddler on the Roof, and Man Who Came to Dinner.


Debra Glagola

Kansas City, MO - Returning for her eighth season at the BHP, Debra is looking forward to another summer of theatre in the forest. Last winter, she thoroughly enjoyed her fifth national tour of A Christmas Carol with the Nebraska Theatre Caravan. Her top three acting adventures at the BHP include portraying Electra in Gypsy, Mrs. Webb in Our Town, and Prudie Cupp in Pump Boys & Dinettes. This summer, Debra will be playing Mrs. Stanley in Man Who Came to Dinner and Grandma Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof.


Brian Goetzinger

Rapid City, SD - Brian is a seventh grader at St. Elizabeth Seton school. He has gone to Strings Camp for the past two years and has performed the roles of Tabaqui in "Jungle Book" and the Sheriff of Nottingham in "Robin Hood" for the Missoula Children's Theatre. In his first season with the Playhouse, Mr. Goetzinger will play the Fiddler in Fiddler on the Roof.


Aisling Gould

Rapid City, SD - Aisling is an eighth grade student at St. Elizabeth Seton School and a student at the Academy of Dance Arts. She has previously been in Music Man and King and I at the BHP. This summer, she will play Chava in Fiddler on the Roof. Ms. Gould has been active in productions by the Missoula Children's Theatre, the Children's Theatre Company of South Dakota, the Rapid City Children's Choir, the Academy of Dance Arts, and performed at the China International Folk Arts Festival four years ago.


Kelsye Gould

Rapid City, SD - Kelsye is a senior at St. Thomas More High School and a student at the Academy of Dance Arts. She has previously been in King and I at the Playhouse. This summer, she will play Bebe in Chorus Line and be in the female chorus of Fiddler on the Roof. Kelsye Gould has been active in productions by the Black Hills Children's Theatre Troupe, the Missoula Children's Theatre, Black Hills Community Theatre, St. Thomas More High School, the Academy of Dance Arts, and she performed at the China International Falk Arts Festival four years ago.


Marnie Gould

Rapid City, SD - Marnie is a veteran of BHP, an alumna and a former member of the Board of Directors and former Treasurer. She is also currently co-chair of the BHP Alumni Association. Along with acting in our productions of Music Man and King and I, Mrs. Gould has been acting and choreographing for productions at the Black Hills Community Theater. This summer, Marnie will be seen in our production of Fiddler on the Roof.


Karyn Grasse

Monterey Park, CA - Karyn is genuinely delighted to be joint the Black Hills Playhouse to play Linda in Play It Again, Sam, having worked with Jan as Cathy in Proof at East L.A. College earlier this year. After completing a B.A. in Theater at Cal Poly, Karyn took a 9-year hiatus to pursue other interests. Other favorite roles include Meg in Lie of the Mind, Marie in Dangerous Liaisons, Martha in Children's Hour, and Penelope Toop in See How They Run. Ms. Grasse helps with Gabrielino High School's Drama Program and is a proud part of the vibrant theater community of East L. A. College. She offers sincere thanks to Jan and everyone at BHP, to Mom and Dad, and to Sam for bringing theater back to her life.



Jenn Greenwaldt

Rapid City, SD - Ms. Greenwaldt works for KNBN Television and was previously in our production of Music Man. This season, Jenn will portray Myra in Hay Fever. She has received the Arts Council Fine Arts Theatre Achievement Award and has acted in many Black Hills Community Theater productions. Jenn has also done various professional voice overs for KNBN, Linn Productions, and the Journey Museum, as well as dancing for the University of Wyoming.


Travis Halsey

Omaha, NE - This will be Travis' sixth BHP summer. He will be costume designer for Play It Again, Sam. Last season Travis designed costumes for H.M.S. Pinafore. This past year Mr. Halsey worked as Shop Foreman and a designer for Omaha Theatre Ballet. He co-designed the ballet There, he co-designed costumes for their production of Romeo and Juliet. Mr. Halsey just obtained his B.A. in Dramatic Arts from University of Nebraska Omaha. The area's Theatre Arts Guild named him "Best Costume Designer in Omaha" for his design of Sunday in the Park with George.


Hannah Harris

Rapid City, SD - Hannah is a junior at Stevens High School. She is the youngest of four children and started dancing when she was six. She hopes to move to New York when she graduates and become a Radio City Music Hall Rockette. This summer, his first at BHP, she will be play Tricia in Chorus Line.
