  • Dakota Players Tours: one-week theatre residencies go to 40+ locations across South Dakota each year bringing arts education to communities large and small while igniting the imagination and creativity of 1600+ kids in grades K-12

  • Specialty programs:  Classes and performance opportunities inclusive of people with disabilities in partnership with LifeScape and Dakotabilities in Sioux Falls

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER: Pledges of $4,000 or more to support our All-Star programs

 

CATEGORIES

SEASON SPONSOR: Supports the performances in Custer State Park and gives the greatest visibility for the sponsor. Your logo will appear on the BHP website and in the Season Playbill which is viewed by 16,000+ patrons and distributed online. Season Sponsors receive pre-show thank-you announcements throughout the summer, a half page ad in the playbill, 10 complimentary tickets and special pricing for employees or clients on selected dates if requested. Season Sponsors are also recognized at opening night receptions. Be one of the first four to sign up and a short, fun song written for your business and performed by BHP cast members opens each performance during the run of each show.

 

MAJOR EDUCATION SPONSOR: As a Major Education Sponsor, your business will invest in programs which benefit over 1600 young people in residencies, 6000 audience members at schools and communities across South Dakota, and 130 kids at performing arts camps. Sponsors receive pre-show thank-you announcements throughout the summer, a half page ad in the playbill, 10 complimentary tickets and special pricing for employees/clients on selected dates. Your logo will appear on the BHP website and in the Season Playbill, which is viewed by 16,000 patrons and distributed online.

 

MAJOR SPECIALTY PROGRAM SPONSOR: Through innovative partnerships, teaching artists of the Black Hills Playhouse are transforming lives through performing arts camps, performances, and classes inclusive of people with disabilities. Major Specialty Program Sponsors receive pre-show thank-you announcements, a half page ad in the playbill, 10 complimentary tickets and special pricing for employees/clients on selected dates. Your logo will appear on the BHP website and in the Season Playbill, which is viewed by 16,000 patrons and distributed online.

 

KIDS GO FREE TITLE SPONSOR: Over 400 kids per year attend shows free due to the generosity of sponsors for this program.  Two kids may attend free with the purchase of one adult ticket. This is a very popular program with parents and grandparents! Sponsors receive pre-show thank-you announcements throughout the summer at Kids Go Free performances, a half page ad in the playbill, 10 complimentary tickets and special pricing for employees/clients on selected dates. Your logo will appear on the BHP website and in the Season Playbill, which is viewed by 16,000 patrons and distributed online. Special social media shout outs with a social media frame tailored to your company are included.

 

NATURE TITLE SPONSOR:  A special project in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Custer State Park, this outdoor “walking play” will be presented over the Labor Day Holiday Weekend. Nature is an extraordinary, family-friendly journey that co-mingles story, spirit, and nature, as a means to reconnect its audience with the natural world and highlights the relationship between Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau.

 

2nd TIER SPONSORSHIP LEVELS

Producers: $3,000 to support Education, Costume, and Scenic Design programs

Directors: $2,500 to support Education or Costume and Scenic Design programs

Starring role:  $2,000 to support Grounds or Specialty programs

Lead role: $1,000 to support Grounds or Specialty programs

Supporting role: Pledges of $999 or less which support specific initiatives

EDUCATION SPONSORS: These sponsorships underwrite Dakota Players touring outreach, Kids Go Free at the BHP, and summer camps which benefit young people in grades K-12. Sponsors receive recognition in the playbill and complimentary tickets. (8/Producers, 6/Directors, 4/Starring Role, 2/Lead Role)

 

COSTUME OR SCENIC SPONSOR: This sponsorship underwrites the scores of costumes or professional sets that appear on the stage each year.  As an underwriter of these great creative processes, sponsors receive recognition in the playbill and a tour (if requested) of the costume or scene shops with complimentary tickets (8/Producers, 6/Directors, 4/Starring Role, 2/Lead Role).

 

GROUNDS SPONSOR: The Grounds Sponsor is an effort to bring together like-minded individuals who are passionate about our location in the Park.  Grounds support helps to repair our picnic tables, supports landscaping efforts and grounds maintenance. Grounds sponsors receive recognition in the playbill and a nature-walk tour with one of our grounds specialists and two complimentary tickets. (8/Producers,  6/Directors, 4/Starring Role, 2/Lead Role).

$500 - Send-a-Kid to camp - Help kids from low-income families get to camp   

$750 - Camp T-Shirts -  Sponsor logo on all t-shirts of one summer camp           

$800 - Camp Bus - Funds transportation to BHP, Placerville & Hill City for performance

$850 - Kids Go Free - Kids go free on select nights over 500 kids went free in 2019

$850 - Education Performance Sponsor--Camps, All-Ability, Nature performance   

$950 - Intern Sponsor - funds to help defray the cost of paid internships
