Ticket Policies
Before you arrive, review our ticket and pass guidelines to help your visit go smoothly. These policies outline what to expect and how we can best assist you.
Custer State Park Passes
Custer State Park pass required for entry, $40 res/$60 non-res annual; $25, 7-day, temporary. Sorry, no day passes available in CSP.
Exchanges
Tickets may be exchanged by calling the Box Office on 605-255-4141 no later than 4:00 p.m. the day before the performance is scheduled. Exchanges are available for tickets of equal or greater value and are good for the current season only.
Infant and Young children
We do not recommend our performances for children under the age of 4. Young children often have difficulty remaining attentive and quiet throughout a performance. If a child becomes restless or fussy, we ask that parents promptly step out of the theater out of consideration for other patrons. Please note that the Black Hills Playhouse does not offer a designated cry room, so we encourage families to select seats that allow for an easy exit if needed

Sales
Refund Policy In Case of Cancellation
BUFFALO, HOLIDAY, or any other PASS holders – Tickets may be returned to your pass at your request so you can call or go online at your convenience to make a reservation for a different performance.
CREDIT CARD – If you are unable to make another performance, please call us to request a refund to your card.
CASH or CHECK – If you are unable to attend another performance, please call us to request a refund for the canceled performance.
REFUNDS will not be made on-site after a performance has been canceled.
Service Charges
A non-refundable convenience fee of $10.00 applies to all pass orders in the virtual ticketing system.
There is a $3.50 per ticket convenience fee for each ticket in an individual ticket order.

2. People must be at the box office at least one half hour before curtain to check-in
3. We cannot guarantee a seat.
4. We will seat approximately 5 minutes to curtain in order of the people who have signed up in advance first and then walk-ups.

Adult
South Dakota-resident $43, Non-resident $47

Senior & Military
Seniors (65+) & Military SD Resident $39, Non-resident $43
Plus a $3.50 convenience fee per ticket that covers ticketing and credit card fees.
Note: These discounts can not be stacked with other discounts i.e. Kids Go Free or CSP coupons.
Student & Youth
STUDENTS (17-22) are SD Resident $33, Non-resident, $37
Plus a $3.50 convenience fee per ticket that covers ticketing and credit card fees.
Ticket prices for YOUTH (16 and younger) are SD Resident $23, Non-resident, $27
Plus a $3.50 convenience fee per ticket that covers ticketing and credit card fees.
*Productions are not recommended for children under 4 years of age as they often do not have an attention span for 2-hour performances. Please note that parents will be asked to take children outside if they are disruptive to other patrons.

All groups of 15 or more qualify for discounts on tickets to BHP productions.
All adult tickets are $35.00 + $3.50 per ticket convenience fee. All youth tickets are $18 + $3.50 per ticket convenience fee.
Here’s how it works:

Make your request for a group reservation by phone, (605) 255-4141 or by email, and we’ll reserve your tickets (subject to availability).

Pay 20% of your total within 15 days of your reservation.

Share the final number of tickets and pay your balance in-full 30 days prior to your performance.

Check your email for the ticket confirmation, and we’ll meet your group at the theater with your tickets!
Group orders not completed 30 days in advance are subject to cancellation and will result in a 10% handling fee.
* Upon final payment, all group sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges for unused tickets or no-shows.

Kids & Teens Go Free Special Performances
Special performances where youth 18 and under go free with one paid regular adult ticket. Inspiring the next generation of theatre-goers.

Please Note: Discounts can not be stacked in the ticketing system which means that adults must purchase a full-priced adult ticket (no senior or military discounts) to get the free tickets for kids. If you are making reservations for more than 4 kids, please call the box office at (605) 255-4141 for help in making reservations.
Historic Tours
Learn about the campus and the historic CCC camp we occupy! Pre-show: 1:15 pm and 6:45, $10 per person (+$3.5 processing fee). Make reservations through the box office. Reservations must be made at least 7 days in advance.
