We recently held a fundraising event in Sioux Falls celebrating 25 years of our Education programs, and former South Dakota Governor, Dennis Daugaard and his wife, Linda, were co-hosts. During his tenure as Governor, he was instrumental in building support for the Black Hills Playhouse. During his brief remarks that evening, he made the following statement:  

 

“When you have a jewel like Custer State Park, and the crown is the Black Hills Playhouse, you want to show it off!” We concur–in fact, we’ve been showing it off for the past 79 years!  

 

As we prepare for our 79th season, The Impossible Must Be Possible, we want to express how grateful we are to all those who have stepped up to invest in the Playhouse and statewide education programs. We know that you feel strongly that the Playhouse is, in fact, the arts jewel of the State of South Dakota. We’re hoping you’ll be willing to continue investing to help us keep showing it off!
