The Black Hills Playhouse (BHP) seeks creative professionals and emerging professionals of all backgrounds for a 12-week summer stock season in beautiful Custer State Park in South Dakota. These are seasonal employment contracts.

Season Start & End Dates: May 20 or 22- August 18, 2024. Dates may vary by contract.

All positions include room & board. What does that mean exactly? Housing is provided in our scenic location in Custer State Park and meals are made fresh on campus during all workdays specifically for the company. Housing and meals are valued at $250/weekly.

First-year intern positions are paid $250/wk plus room and board, and all other positions DOE. Job descriptions are found in the online application. When hiring is complete for the season (generally late March to mid-April), it will be posted on the website and social media.

Dakota Players Children's Theatre Tour Jobs

The BHP is also seeking Tour Actor/Directors for the Dakota Players children's theatre 2023/24 touring season.

Various contracts available, tbd and posted soon.
- The tour team conducts auditions and leads a week-long rehearsal process in each town, culminating in performances in front of local community audiences.

The tour team is trained to lead theatre workshops, works with students at BHP Jr. Performing Arts Camps, and assists with all-ability productions.
