Tatanka Teaser Cabaret Season Warmer
Join us June 1 at 2:00 pm for the Tatanka Teaser Cabaret Season Warmer! This special performance features our Season 78 company performing pieces they auditioned with. Get a glimpse of the inspiring pieces that helped us choose such amazing talent for 2024.

Pay-As-You-Can Performances
It is our mission at the Black Hills Playhouse to bring the magic of theatre to as many people as possible, and we believe money should never be a barrier to the arts. Join us each Saturday before the opener of each of our four productions for a Pay-As-You-Can performance, sponsored by Julie Oswald! There is a suggested $10 donation for those who can, and any and all donations are welcome.

Opening Matinees Followed by Artist Opening Reception
Our opening matinees are full of energy and excitement! They also include an Artist Reception after each opening performance where we celebrate the cast and crew. Kids Go Free Nights
We are ready to inspire future generations of theatergoers, and are proud to offer Kids Go Free nights, sponsored by Bank West!
Kids Go Free performances for 2024 take place on the first Wednesday and Thursday evening of the run of each play. Don’t forget to check each play’s target audience to make sure it is appropriate for your child’s age. Check play descriptions out here.
Please Note: Discounts can not be stacked in the ticketing system which means that adults must purchase a full-priced adult ticket (no senior or military discounts) to get the free tickets for kids. If you are making reservations for more than 4 kids, please call the box office at 605 255-4141 for help making reservations.
USD Alumni Night
Mark your calendars for this year’s USD Night on Saturday, July 13th at the Black Hills Playhouse and performance of Disney's The Little Mermaid! Dinner and networking will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Hab Hall, which is located just feet from the stage. The meal will be provided courtesy of the USD Foundation & Alumni Association.
The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. with a run time of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. A limited number of $30 discounted tickets are available to alumni and friends until July 3.
